It is a high skilled dental treatment which aims to treat the infection in the root canal system. Bacteria can penetrate into what it is called “the nerve of the tooth” and cause necrosis and subsequent infection and inflammation of the tissues around the apices of the roots.

Once the root canals are completely clean and free of debris and bacteria, they will need to be filled and the tooth finally restored with a filling, inlay/onlay or crown.
