Deposit and Cancellation Policy

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

At Maria White Dental Practice we may take a deposit when you book an appointment, specially on Saturdays and evenings. This will be deducted from your bill for the relevant treatment.

We fully understand that from time to time, last minute difficulties do arise and that you may need to make changes to your appointment. We will always be as accommodating as possible to assist our patients and provide a guarantee that where notification to cancel appointments where more than 24 hours notice is given, deposits will be refunded or offset against any treatment required.

Where late cancellations are notified (including failing to attend without notification) with less than 24 hours notice being given, we reserve the right to retain your deposit. The reason why we adopt this procedure is because the clinical team’s time has been allocated and is often very difficult to fill the cancelled appointment time within 24 hours notice. However, where we are able to do so, your deposit will not be taken and you will be notified accordingly.

We do of course understand that each patient’s circumstances are different when either failing to attend/cancel an appointment or being unable to provide more than 24 hours notice to the practice. We will always listen to our patients and be understanding and sympathetic to such circumstances where it may not have been possible to provide such notification earlier.

How to notify the practice about cancelling an appointment

Notification is always best given by telephoning the clinic on 01753 298 123 or if there are difficulties with you doing so, then by email at reception@mariawhite.co.uk The sooner notification is given enables us to offer your appointment to another patient and avoid your deposit being retained.
